I love fall foods. There is nothing better than rich, stick-to-your-ribs, hearty kind of food. I love eating foods that are seasonal, and this recipe is one that has two of my favorite fall veggies. The best part is that it’s easy enough to cook on a weeknight but would also make a fantastic Thanksgiving side dish.
Halloween 2017 Recap
I love all things festive. I might not have the best execution for decorating or dressing up, but I like getting to pretend to be someone else for a night. So I think I was more excited for Halloween this year than Luci was. Last year we took Luci trick-or-treating but we only went to handful of houses since she was a baby. Mom Guilt, that ever present feeling you get as soon as you see that plus sign on the pregnancy test. The feeling of trying to do everything perfectly and have it all together while chaos rages around you. And you’re trying to live up to the mythical standard of the perfect mom. You know the mom that has her stuff together and you have no idea how she does it all.
Fall through the eyes of Luci
Leggings, boots, everything pumpkin and apple flavored, and crisp weather are some of my favorite things about Fall. But I never realized how much I would love this season until I saw it through the eyes of my daughter. It really is quite magical getting to relive childhood and see life through her eyes.
